Perspex Cast Acrylic
It is a consistent, high quality durable plastic sheeting used throughout
the world to bring life to the ideas of architects, specifiers, interior
designers, furniture designers, brand architects, graphic designers,
automotive designers and fabricators.
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified)
Is a thermoplastic sheet used in visual merchandising and engineering
applications. It can be easily formed, die cut and punched and is
coloured during processing if required.
Polycarbonate
With its ultra-high impact resistance qualities Solid Polycarbonate is the
material of choice for demanding applications. Although as transparent as glass and less than half the weight, Polycarbonate is virtually unbreakable. It is ideal for skylights, architectural roofing and glazing as
it can be cold bent, easily fabricated and formed. The material also allows for high light transmission and blocks harmful UV radiation.
Multiwall
Polycarbonate twin wall sheets add colour, interest and creativity to design
projects from furniture to lighting to room separation or stage creation. It is
available in a wide range of colours and thicknesses
Alupanel
It is a rigid aluminium composite sheeting that is ideal for signage, advertising,
construction and architectural design solutions. It is an excellent medium for
out of home media, shop fitting, POS displays, exhibition stands, partitioning,
wall linings, suspended ceilings and many industrial applications.
ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene)
Is a thermoplastic that combines the strength and rigidity of acrylonitrile and styrene polymers with the toughness of polybutadiene rubber. ABS is suitable for indoor and extended outdoor use and is also available in a range of make to order colours.
ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) VO
Carries a UL94 fire rating and is also available with a UV additive for increased
UV stability. It is impact and chemical resistant; graffiti resistant; fire resistant; and scratch resistant as well as easy to clean. ABS VO fire retardant sheeting is ideal for mass transit applications.
PMMA/ABS – The economic sanware alternative
Perspex South Africa’s PMMA thermoplastic sheeting is primarily used in the
manufacturing of sanitary ware (baths, vanity basins and shower trays).
Polystyrene (PST)
High impact polystyrene sheeting is light weight with good impact resistance.
It is easy to thermoform, odourless and tasteless. It can be printed, cut, glued,
recycled and absorbs little moisture. These characteristics make it ideal for
producing POS material and signage, for refrigeration applications, medical
uses, and in the catering industry.
LinaShield
It is a groundbreaking product manufactured by Perspex South Africa.
It is designed for optimal durability in harsh, high abrasion environments;
providing reduced downtime and extended life for capital equipment. Fields
with practical needs for LinaShield include mining, transportation, thermal
power stations, farming, commercial, industrial and earth moving vehicles.
LinaShield is also used extensively for wear linings, conveyor belts and silos.
HDPE
The properties of HDPE sheeting make it ideal for plastic and extrusion
welding as well as vacuum forming and profile cutting. Many essential
items are manufactured with HDPE including; wear strips, chain guides,
fume cabinets, ducting, chemical tanks, automotive parts such as mud flaps
and dam linings, packaging, and it is also used for cutting and clicking boards
Polypropylene
PPH (Polypropylene hompoloymer) for general-purpose use and PPC
(Polypropylene co-polymer) for high impact use. Polypropylene sheets are
low density with good impact strength. PPH and PPC exhibit high chemical
resistance and lend themselves to fabrication and welding.
